Watch Jo Koy Eat Sinigang in ‘Kain Tayo’, Netflix’s New Social Series

For its first episode, he invites half-Pinay influencer Liane Valenzuela while eating a steaming bowl of sinigang and watching the second season of Sex Education.

There's no better way to enjoy a good show or movie than with your favorite dishes. And in Netflix's new social series Kain Tayo, Filipino comedian Jo Koy sits down with a friend while watching Netflix content and enjoying some good ol' and homey Filipino food.

For its first episode, he invites half-Pinay influencer Liane Valenzuela while eating a steaming bowl of sinigang and watching the second season of Sex Education.

Watch it here:

Jo Koy said that he chose sinigang for his first episode is because the sour soup reminds him of his childhood, something that Sex Education explores throughout its 2 seasons. He also shared he had the same awkward experience that Otis had in the first episode, and that it was nice that shows like Sex Education exist to open the conversation on sexuality.

Valenzuela also agreed, saying that it's good that Eric and Otis are relatable characters that help the teens of today understand their struggles and how their bodies work.

Jo Koy concluded by quoting that "life is like a bowl of sinigang. It's delicious, but a little sour."
