1. Some Good News | Watch it on YouTube

With more than a month of being at home, watching the news can either make you go crazy or crazier. It’s time to take a break on making yourself feel bad and go watch Some Good News on YouTube. It’s a channel and show created and hosted by The Office’s John Krasinski. It’s a few minutes of nothing but good news from all over the world. From highlighting the hardworking frontliners to a young girl winning her battle against cancer, to interviewing his co-star in The Office Steve Carrell. There would also appearances of his wife actress Emily Blunt from time to time to say Hi. Anybody can contribute to the good vibes that Some Good News is reporting by using the hashtag #SomeGoodNews on their posts on Twitter and Instagram. We need all the good news that we can get through this tough time that we’re having.

2. Accident | Watch it on Netflix

Thinking of a film to watch on Netflix, one of my favorite action thriller films, Connected, suddenly crossed my mind. So I looked it up and stumbled upon other recommended thrillers from Hong Kong cinema with the same lead actor, Louis Koo. I tried watching Accident and was not disappointed. It follows a group of hired killers with an interesting bio: they commit their crimes by making it look like a freak accident. In other words, they cunningly create Final Destination scenarios that would lead to the target’s death, while no evidence would lead back to them. Things get dangerous however, when one of them dies in an accident, and the brain of the operation starts to get the hunch that their own strategy is being used against them.

3. Because This is My First Life | Watch it on Netflix

I've been seeing a lot of love for this drama since it aired in 2017, but I only got to see it last week since I was looking for a drama that's fun and lighthearted. The drama may seem like your typical drama – 2 people who marry on a contract and falling in love eventually – but I'm actually surprised at how it a gave a fresher take on this concept. While Because This is My First Life definitely had those cliches – nosy in-laws and a strong second lead – the drama also has well-written characters who have a realistic take on what love and marriage is supposed to be, especially as they live in a world where rent is expensive and dreams are not so easy to achieve. The drama made me feel warm when it ended, and I feel like I'll be watching it again in a few months just so I can fully take in the lines thrown by the characters!

P.S.: Cat is definitely the cutest cat in K-drama world!

4. Vance Joy Live From Rod Laver Arena, Melbourne | Watch it on YouTube

If you miss going to concerts as much as I do and are longing for new music (just in case you haven’t listened to any of his songs yet), check out Vance Joy’s latest upload on YouTube. I’ve waited the whole week since the Australian singer and songwriter announced this on one of his Instagram live videos. Filmed at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena, it is one of his biggest headline hometown shows to date as he promotes his Nation of Two World album. He performs eight songs like “Call If You Need Me,” “Mess is Mine,” and “Saturday Sun” which are a few of my favorite tracks by him. His palpable charm, passionate vocals and masterful guitar and ukulele playing skills will make you want to catch him live as soon as all of this is over!
