Britney Vs Spears follows the artist and music icon Britney Spears, whose name has been tied to the term “conservatorship” for quite some time now. It tells the story of her life and her search for freedom, and will be showing the audience how she went from “girl next door to a woman trapped by fame and her own legal status.” It will also be featuring exclusive interviews, investigative work, and new documents that will help the audience understand Britney’s fight to get her own autonomy.
The film comes from director Erin Lee Carr, who also directed How to Fix a Drug Scandal and Dirty Money, and journalist Jenny Eliscu.
Britney Vs. Spears premieres on Netflix this September 28.
