A team of LGBTQ+ secret agents is on the mission in Netflix’s upcoming animated series Q-Force!
The streaming platform has revealed the trailer for the upcoming show, giving us a first look at the misfit squad of queer geniuses. Check it out below:
The trailer begins with Steve Maryweather, AKA Agent Mary, who proudly comes out as gay after graduating as a valedictorian at the American Intelligence Agency. After this announcement, however, the agency sends him off to West Hollywood where he can vanish into obscurity.
Instead of following orders, Agent Mary goes rogue and assembles a team of LGBTQ+ geniuses called the Q-Force that includes the expert mechanic Deb, the master of drag and disguise Twink, and the hacker Stat. When the AIA finally recognizes their promising achievements, the agency promotes them to Active Secret Agents in the field, but they’ll also have to put up with a new member of the team– the straight-guy Agent Buck.
The voice cast includes Sean Hayes, Wanda Sykes, Matt Rogers, Harrison, Laurie Metcalf, and David Harbour. The 10-episode series will be released on Netflix this September 2.
