He’s All That — the gender-swapped reboot of the 1999 rom-com She’s All That — is coming to Netflix this August 27! And while waiting for the film to drop, the streaming site has unveiled the trailer to the new film, giving us a glimpse of the two leads: TikTok star Addison Rae and Cobra Kai‘s Tanner Buchanan.

The 2021 reimagination of the teen flick centers on social media influencer Padgett, whose humiliating on-cam breakup goes viral online. To save her reputation, she makes a bet to turn the scruffy antisocial Cameron into someone who’s prom king material. Things get complicated for the two of them when she finds herself falling for him.
The film comes from director Mark Waters, who’s known for directing popular flicks Mean Girls and Freaky Friday, with a script by R. Lee Fleming Jr., who also worked on the script for the original 1999 film. It stars Addison Rae as Padgett Sawyer and Tanner Buchanan as Cameron Kweller. They are joined by Myra Molloy, Madison Pettis, Peyton Meyer, Isabella Crovetti, and more.

She’s All That, the original 1999 film, starred Freddie Prinze Jr., Rachael Leigh Cook, Paul Walker, and Matthew Lillard. Cook is set to appear on He’s All That as Mrs. Sawyer, Padgette’s mom.
He’s All That premieres on Netflix this August 27. Follow Netflix’s Facebook and Twitter pages for updates about this title.
