Netflix has just released the trailer for the upcoming animated film Monster Hunter: Legends Of The Guild. Based on Capcom’s video game franchise, the new CG film will follow Aiden, a young hunter who has appeared in the Monster Hunter games.

In the film, Aiden must protect his isolated village from the threat of the mysterious Elder Dragon. Joined by the Hunter’s Guild member Julius and his companions, Aiden goes on a journey to the unknown to find a way to save his home.
Directed by Steven F. Yamamoto, the film will star the voices of Ben Rausch, Erica Lindbeck, and Dante Basco. It will premiere on Netflix this August 12.
This is not the first time that the Monster Hunter franchise has spawned a film. Last year, Sony Entertainment released the live-action Monster Hunter film which starred Milla Jovovich with the direction of Paul W. S. Anderson. It is also available for streaming on Netflix.
