Here's everything that happened on the first day of See What’s Next: Asia, Netflix's major regional press junket in happening this week in Singapore.

The event opened with CEO and Founder Reed Hastings talking about the company's journey – how they started in Canada, how they reached in Asia and where they're going globally. It was then followed by Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos sharing how creativity comes to life when storytellers from around the world are given freedom and emphasizes Netflix's investment in developing and sharing Asian stories with the world.

Netflix Content Executives Erika North (SEA), Simran Sethi (India), Minyong Kim (Korea) and Taito Okiura (Japan) share they are constantly looking for the world's best stories – those who can resonate with audiences in Asia and would travel globally.
