A TV Series Based on Hit Video Game “Assassin’s Creed” is in the Works and We’re All Excited!

A series based on the world of the famous action-adventure video game Assassin’s Creed is already in the works, and the genius behind the Netflix series 'Castlevania' Adi Shankar will be developing the story. 

A series based on the world of the famous action-adventure video game Assassin’s Creed is already in the works, and the genius behind the Netflix series Castlevania Adi Shankar will be developing the story. 

In an announcement made via his Facebook page, Shankar said that the developers of the video game reached out to him to create an anime series that is centered in the world of Assassin’s Creed. See his post below:

Shankar and the team behind the upcoming project still haven’t spilled the beans as to what the story will be about, when it will air, and who will be taking the lead role, but fans of the game and of Shankar are be assured that they will be getting an original story set in the world established by the video game.

Assassin’s Creed mainly revolves around the rivalry between two societies, the Assassins and the Knights Templar who have different concepts and truths as to how they will rule the world. It has released a series of games and spinoffs since its release back in 2007.

Meanwhile, Shankar’s latest series, Castlevania, a dark medieval animated series, was released on Netflix last July 7. It centers on the last surviving member of the Belmont Clan who tries “to save Eastern Europe from extinction at the hand of Vlad Dracula”. It is based on the video game franchise of the same name, developed by Konami.
