CNN Travel has recognized the beauty of Vigan city in their list of 13 of Asia's most picturesque towns!
If you take a stroll around Vigan, it is no surprise that the UNESCO World Heritage city has received such recognition. The cobblestone pavement, the colonial buildings with capiz-shell windows and wooden interiors, and the kalesa (horse-drawn carriages) as means of transportation, makes Vigan a stunning trip to the Spanish colonial-era in the Philippines.
CNN Travel also emphasized some of the must-see spots in the town. These include the central square Plaza Salcedo, the white and yellow Baroque structure of St. Paul's Cathedral, and other landmarks like the Calle Crisologo, RG Jar Factory, and Vigan Public Market.
Also part of the list are Vietnam's Hoi An, Japan's Yufuin, Malaysia's George Town, Luang Prabang of Laos, Cambodia's Kampot, Indonesia's Kota Gede, Sri Lanka's Galle, China's Zhouzhuang, India's Mawlynnong, Ghandruk in Nepal, Saikung in Hong Kong, and Phuket Town in Thailand.
