Wish We Were Here: Reliving Our Childhood at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Osaka

What better way to relive the magic and the stories than to actually be in the Wizarding World, right?

Last Sunday, the Harry Potter fandom celebrated the famed series’ 20th anniversary. On the 31st, Potterheads from all around the world will be celebrating the birthdays of The Boy Who Lived himself and its author JK Rowling. And what better way to relive the magic and the stories than to actually be in the Wizarding World, right?

Luckily, Potterheads don’t have to imagine anymore as to what Hogwarts would look like, or what it would feel like to have the wand choose the wizard, or what the actual Butterbeer would taste like, because the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Universal Studios Japan is there to make every aspiring wizard’s dream come true.

Located in Osaka, Japan, this Harry Potter-themed attraction brings the Wizarding World to life – from the famous Hogwarts Express, Diagon Alley, Hogwarts Caste, to Hogsmeade! Aside from its Instagram-worthy stores and attractions, the theme park also features thrilling and immersive rides including Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey and the Flight of the Hippogriff.

After a day’s worth of wandering around the park, visitors also have an option of trying out the kinds of dishes being offered at The Three Broomsticks and at Hog’s Head. While you’re at it, don’t forget to try out the famous Butterbeer available at the two restaurants mentioned, as well as at a kiosk in Hogsmeade.

Make sure to ready your cha-chings as food and souvenirs may get very expensive at the themed park. Prepare to wait longer in lines than being in the actual ride itself as there would always be a bunch of people touring and exploring the Wizarding World with you. Be patient, we're pretty sure wait will be worth it!
