GUIDE: Extended Due Dates For Your Bills Amid COVID-19

Here's a list of bill extensions from telcos, banks, and insurance and credit card companies.

With the ongoing community quarantine for the entirety of Luzon due to the COVID-19 threat, everyone is advised to stay at home and practice social distancing. Since almost all business operations are put on hold, many of us can’t help but worry if we could make ends meet this month without any setbacks. Fortunately, banks, telcos, insurance companies, and other entities are giving its customers and clients extensions on their bills’ due dates. Check them out below.

Utilities

Manila Water
Manila Water gives 30-day extension from the due date of their water bills. Other payment options include GCash, Paymaya, and other online banking partners.

Maynilad Water Services, Inc.
Bills due from March 15 to April 14, 2020 are given a 30-day payment extension from their duedates.

Meralco
Bills due from March 1 to April 14, 2020 are given a 30-day payment extension from their due dates. Payments can also be made through Meralco Online, the Meralco App, and their payment partners.


Postpaid & Cable

Cignal Postpaid
All Cignal Postpaid subscribers will be given a 30-day payment extension from the original due date.

Globe Postpaid
Globe postpaid users (mobile and broadband) are given a 30-day bill payment extension from their due dates. Payments can also be made through the Globe One app and Globe At Home app.

PLDT
All postpaid customers of  PLDT Home, PLDT Enterprise, Smart Communications, Inc. & Sun Postpaid are given a 30-day bill extension.

Sky Cable
Bill payment period is extended for 30 days. You may also pay your bills through Mysky.com.ph or by downloading the MySKY app.

Smart Postpaid
All postpaid customers of  PLDT Home, PLDT Enterprise, Smart Communications, Inc. & Sun Postpaid are given a 30-day bill extension.

Sun Postpaid
All postpaid customers of  PLDT Home, PLDT Enterprise, Smart Communications, Inc. & Sun Postpaid are given a 30-day bill extension.

Banking, Loans, & Insurance

AXA Philippines
AXA Philippines extends their grace period from 31 days to 60 days until April 30, 2020 for all life and health policies (group and individual).

BPI
BPI extends a 30-day grace period for qualified credit card, personal, home, auto, and SEME loan clients. Qualified clients will receive an email containing the terms and conditions.

CIMB
For those whose outstanding balances for loan repayments are scheduled on April 1, the due date will be moved to May 1, 2020, with no late fees or additional interest.

Citi Philippines
Credit cardholders in good credit standing with payment due dates falling from March 16 to April 12 will get a one-month extension.

Eastwest Bank
Due dates for auto, personal, mortgage and EEL loans, and credit cards shall be extended by 30 days for eligible customers. Qualified customers will be notified via e-mail or SMS regarding the extension.

GCash
GCash is waiving penalty fees for qualified GCredit customers in good standing and with due dates falling within March 15 to April 14.

Manulife
All premium payment for insurance policies issued and assumed by Manulife Philippines, Manulife China Bank Life, and Manulife Financial Plans with due dates from March 16 to April 30, 2020 will get an extra 60-day payment period after the due date.

Metrobank
A 30-day grace period program will be extended to qualified Car loan, Home loan, and Credit Card payments. Qualified customers will be notified via e-mail.

Pag-IBIG Fund
A three-month moratorium for all loans (Housing, Multi-Purpose, and Calamity loans) covering payments due from March 16 to June 15, 2020 will be given to member-borrowers residing in NCR and Luzon.

PhilHealth
PhilHealth extends deadline of 1st Quarter 2020 payment of contributions on or before April 30, 2020 instead of March 31, 2020 without interest.

Pru Life UK
Grace period for premium payments with due dates from March 16 until April 30, 2020 will be extended from the standard 31 days to 60 days.

PSBank
A 30-day grace period on loan payments will be extended to qualified Auto, Home, and Personal Loan clients. Qualified borrowers will be notified via e-mail of the details.

RCBC
Auto, Home, Personal, and Salary Loan clients in good standing with due dates from March 15 to April 15, 2020 can delay payments by 30 days from original due date.

RCBC Bankard
Cardholders in good standing and with due dates from March 16 to April 15, 2020 get a 30-day extension from their original due date.

Security Bank
Credit Card, Home Loan, Personal Loan, Auto Loan, Business Mortgage Loan, or Business Express Loan customers whose payment status is current (with no past due balance) as of March 16, 2020 and whose bill’s due date is between March 16 to April 14, 2020 will have a 30-day extension. Payments can also be made through Security Bank Online Banking and other payment partners (for cards).

Sun Life
Sun Life is extending the grace period for premium payments to 91 days, applicable for policies or pre-need plans with due dates falling from Feb. 15 to May 31, 2020.

Unionbank
Qualified credit cardholders in good standing and with due dates from March 17 to April 15, 2020 are given  the ability to delay UnionBank credit card payments for 30 days from the original due date, with no late fee. Payments can still be made via the Unionbank app and other digital channels.
