Of course the words Lenovo Legion reminds us of high-end gaming laptops, but this time around, Lenovo has used their expertise to build the ideal gaming powerhouse for mobile gamers worldwide.

They focused mainly on addressing the biggest demands of top esports athletes– great thermal management, long battery life, customized controls, and livestreaming capabilities. On top of these, Lenovo also makes sure that the Duel will be ready for the future of 5G and cloud gaming.

Speed, power, & a stunning display.

The Lenovo Legion Duel is among the first to feature the next-level flagship processor, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 Plus Mobile Platform. This allows for an incredibly fast Qualcomm Snapdragon Elite Gaming, with 5G support in select markets.

Adding power under its hood are advanced 5th gen memory chips with up to 16GB LPDDR5 high capacity RAM and up to 512GB UFS 3.1.5 for storage.

Now to bring the performance to your fingertips, the Duel has a gaming-grade 6.65ā€ display and 2340 x 1080 pixels resolution with an ultra-smooth 144Hz refresh rate. The 240Hz touch sampling rate will also keep you ahead of the game with its instant response to every move of your finger.

Duel’s Dual Architecture

This Lenovo Legion phone takes the moniker “Duel” also as a wordplay to the word “Dual” which relates to its Dual Technology Architecture that shaped the major elements of Lenovo Legion Duel.

It sports Dual Batteries, 2500mAh each, which amounts to a 5000mAh capacity for your lengthy gameplay. Tucked between the batteries is the logic board, away from your hands, so you would stay comfortable even if the device starts to warm up.

Still, with its Dual-Liquid Heat Pipes, Graphite sheets, and copper foils, you can be sure that its thermals are managed for a cool experience even during marathon sessions.

Sometimes, we just can’t get our hands off the game even if our phone has to charge. The Duel’s Dual Type-C Charging ensures that you can still continue your game without the obstacle of a wire hanging between your fingers.

The Duel has two charging ports, one at the bottom and one on the side. So when the phone’s being used with a horizontal display, you can just plug it in from its side so your hands are free from disturbing wires! If you want a turbo charge, you can also plug-in their 65W charger to both ports (their charger has two Type-C cables) and you can have a fully charged phone in just about one hour!

Giving you further advantage are the Duel’s Dual Shoulder Controls that come with Dual Haptics engines to provide life-like feedback to the user. For a more immersive gameplay, a gyroscope sensor also allows you to change the in-game view whenever you rotate the phone.

Tired of muffled in-game sound effects because the speakers are inconveniently covered by your hand? The Duel has Dual Front-Facing Speakers which can create a 3D-like sound field so you can react a lot faster when enemy footsteps approach you.

Dual Livestreaming has also become easier with the Lenovo Legion Duel’s 20MP pop-up front camera. With it, you can overlay yourself while playing straight to your screen. You can remove your background and use AI to auto-enhance your video with the selfie editor featuring retouching filters and correction options. Noise-canceling microphones are also there for a smooth livestream.

Speaking of cameras, on the Duel’s rear are a 64MP camera and an ultrawide 16MP camera that capture stunning images in the most demanding scenarios. With its rear camera setup, you can also record videos at up to 4K resolution at 30FPS.

Making the Lenovo Legion Duel even more appealing is the “Y” Legion logo with RGB lighting at the rear of the phone. Besides adding a savage look to the phone, you can also tweak its lighting to indicate notifications and your charging status

The Lenovo Realm

The Legion Phone Duel also has a specially customized interface that makes the most of the phone’s landscape orientation so you hardly need to use the portrait mode which is really distracting to one’s gameplay.

With Legion Realm, the phone’s central dashboard, you can change the hardware performance settings, browse games, and select the network that would give you the best connectivity.

As soon as your gaming session ends, you can review the gaming highlights via a preview screen. Simply choose you favorites, merge them, and share. Forgot to his the “Record” button? Put your finger over the right shoulder control, slide it to the left, and you can replay the moments captured in the background allowing you to “reverse-record” your share-worthy gameplay.

Lastly, if you want a larger screen for your gaming, you can easily connect the phone to an external monitor, keyboard, and mouse with a USB-C dock.

Availability

The Lenovo Legion Duel will come in two variants, the Blazing Blue (12GB+256GB) and Vengeance Red (16GB+512GB). It will be available at authorized Lenovo resellers in the Philippines starting November 1.
