Sony Philippines recently unveiled its latest flagship smartphones – Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3 Compact.
Xperia Z3 sports a rounded aluminum frame and is slimmer and lighter compared to its predecessor weighing in at just 152 grams and is 7.3mm thick. The smaller Xperia Z3 Compact sports a rounded liquid reflection frame and weighs 129 grams, and is 8.6mm thick. Both devices are made up of tempered glass panels, giving it a more premium look.
The slicker phones are powered by Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 801 processor with 2.5 GHz quad-core CPU with 4G LTE modem for lightning fast browsing, immersive multimedia experiences and stunning visuals. The new devices also boast longer battery life of up to 2 days.
Shutterbugs will love the new 20.7 MP camera that comes with an ISO 12800 sensitivity so you can take more detailed photos even in low light. Now, you can fit in more people in that groufie (group selfie) thanks to its new 25mm wide-angle Sony G lens. The advanced video mode on both devices also lets you pause and resume while filming HD videos.
Selfie lovers will also love the new social camera apps built in on both devices. Capture an event and your reaction to it simultaneously with Face in. Add scribbles and animations to pictures with AR fun. Create a movie from your photos and videos with Movie creator. Record from multiple angles with up to three compatible Xperia devices filming at the same time with Multi-camera. Or you can add sound to a photo with Sound Photo.
Both devices are fully waterproof (IP 65/68), which means you can take photos and videos under 1.5 meters of fresh water for up to 30 minutes.
Gamers will rejoice with the addition of PS4™ Remote Play which lets you use your Xperia Z3 or Xperia Z3 Compact as a remote screen to connect to and control your games on PS4.
The Sony Xperia Z3 retails at P34,990 and comes in black, white, copper, and silver green colors. While the Xperia Z3 Compact retails at P29,490 and comes in black, white, green, and orange colors. Both devices are expected to hit local stores starting the 4th week of October.
