Snapchat users will notice some new features in the mobile application's latest update, which has been rolled out today.
The update includes Snapchat's first ever in-app purchase for Replays, a Trophies section which gives you rewards for sending snaps and a feature which enhance selfies called Lenses.
While Snapchat is known for having photos and video messages disappear after a few seconds, it has been allowing its users to replay one snap every day for almost two years now.
Today, users will be allowed to replay more than one snap but of course, you have to pay extra. For $0.99, you can replay three more snaps but can't use to replay the same snap again.
"They’re a little pricey — but time is money! ;)," the company wrote on a post.
Moreover, Lenses lets you add special effects to selfies within the app. To activate, press and hold on your face while the front camera is open and the app provides instructions on how to use the effects. There are a total of seven different lenses — from bulging eyes to rainbow tongues.
The update is available starting today. Go and annoy your friends with the lenses!
