The Pokémon Company (headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo; CEO Tsunekazu Ishihara), is pleased to share the latest news about Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl.
1. From fun little apps to useful tools—the all-purpose Pokétch!
The Pokétch is a handy gadget you’ll receive on your journey that’s loaded up with various apps. As you proceed through your adventure, you’ll get more and more apps to use. This all-purpose tool has apps for all sorts of situations, such as the Dowsing Machine to help find hidden items and the Memo Pad for when you’d like to take some quick notes.
2. Have fun with your Pokémon in Amity Square!
Amity Square in Hearthome City is a relaxing place where you can spend time with your Pokémon. It also appeared in Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl. In Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl, you’ll be able to walk with up to six Pokémon at a time from a specific list. It can be relaxing just watching your Pokémon rest, play, and spend time as they please. While you’re here, you can also take commemorative photos with your Pokémon! Adjust the camera angle and zoom level, then press the Nintendo Switch’s Capture Button, or press and hold the Capture Button to record video. Visit Amity Square to have fun with your Pokémon, take a quick breather, and rest from your adventure.
3. People you’ll meet during your adventure through the Sinnoh region
Gardenia – Gym Leader of the Eterna City Gym. Gardenia loves plants and nature, and uses Grass-type Pokémon—with Roserade heading her team. In contrast to her superb skill as a Trainer, she’s deathly afraid of ghosts.
Cheryl – A gentle Trainer who says she’s not great at battling. Cheryl briefly joins your travels and helps you out in battle. She’s raised her Chansey with love and care, and they have a strong bond.
Riley – An even-tempered Trainer with a strange air about him. Riley and his partner Lucario travel with you for a time. They become powerful allies in your efforts to stop Team Galactic’s sinister plots.
