As we all support the frontliners out there from within our homes, a number of artists, performers, and brands are also doing their part to contribute by making part of their services free for the people trying to cope with the current social distancing scenario.

PlayStation joins in with their Play At Home initiative comprised of two components: offering free games to the PlayStation community to keep them entertained at home; and helping smaller independent game studios who may be experiencing financial difficulties.

"We are deeply grateful to everyone practicing physical distancing and take our responsibility as a home entertainment platform seriously, so we are asking our community to continue supporting the safe choice and the need to Play At Home." says Sony Interactive Entertainment President & CEO Jim Ryan in a statement.

Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection and Journey will be made available for free for a limited time through digital downloads from April 16 at 11AM through May 6, 2020 at 11AM (Philippine time). Once players download these games, it would be theirs to keep!

Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection from Naughty Dog includes three parts of the franchise, namely Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, and Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception, revamped for PS4 devices. The game will surely quench our thirst for adventure under this quarantine with its thrilling treasure-hunt that takes the player across the globe.

Meanwhile, Journey is a captivating adventure game filled with charming visuals all operating under a touching storyline. It has a very important message that would surely sink in on our cores, especially under our present circumstances that we are currently facing.

Aside from these free games, Sony Interactive Entertainment is also geared to help the smaller gaming studios who are most likely facing financial struggles due to the current pandemic. With this in mind, SIE earmarked $10 million for their independent development partners.
