Last year, Lazada launched actress Kathryn Bernardo as their new brand ambassador, who was later joined by South Korean superstar Lee Min Ho as the first regional ambassador. ‘I’m very, very honored!’ the actress shared when asked about working with the actor.
This February, we also get to see more of Kathryn as her online series ‘The House Arrest Of Us‘ is now streaming. We catch up with the actress via e-mail as she shares about online shopping, adjusting to the pandemic, and more:
Question: 2020 was a challenge for everyone. What are the adjustments you did to rise above the difficulties of the pandemic?
Kathryn Bernardo: Adjust. Adjust. Adjust. In 2020, naging one-man team ako, so instead of complaining, you just gotta do the work kasi hindi naman magaadjust yung mundo sayo. I gave myself time to adjust and once nakuha ko na yung rhythm and kung paano yung ganitong klaseng set up, naging madali siya for me. Instead of whining and complaining, tinry ko kung pano nga ba, and mas nagwork siya for me kasi mas hawak ko yung oras ko kahit papano now.
If you could go back ten years ago and give advice to your younger self, what would it be?
You have to be tough kasi hindi joke ang showbiz. Madami kang mamimeet, pero kelangan maging careful ka. More importantly than being careful, dapat ienjoy mo yung magiging journey mo because it’s gonna be a long journey, pero ang dami mo ding mamimeet that will make you whole. Lahat ng experiences na mangyayare sayo in the coming years, learn from those experiences.

Very warm yung mga tao sa Lazada, and I enjoy working with everyone especially pag TVCs kasi lahat sila magaan katrabaho and that’s very important.
