I'd recommend you stay away from any films labeled Michael Bay especially if you are the thinking intelligent type audience. Should you still watch, You have to turn off half your brain in order to at least 'enjoy' his movies, typical Michael Bay.
Although it's a bit long (almost 2 1/2 hours), this film is the best Michael Bay movie I've seen. The loudness is given, but one can feel the attempts of the film in putting sense in all the noise and chaos presented by the movie. Plus points for the fact that the film is based on true story (and how it shares to the audience the "real deal" right before the closing credits).
