The long wait is over for anyone who's ever anticipated Mike de Leon's latest film as Citizen Jake finally opens in Philippine cinemas today!
A noir crime drama film, Citizen Jake follows the journalist Jake Herrera who goes to Baguio City to prove that he is not like his father who's also a senator. When asked to investigate the case of girl that's been brutally raped and murdered, Jake finds himself facing not only his family who's involved in corruption, but also his own demons.
The film marks Mike De Leon's return to filmmaking after 19 years of hiatus. Atom Araullo stars as Jake Herrera, and will be joined by Teroy Guzman, Luis Alandy, Gabby Eigenmann, Max Collins, and Lou Veloso.
