Doctor Strange star Benedict Cumberbatch is working with Jurassic World: Dominion director Colin Trevorrow in the upcoming film War Magician, Deadline reports.
The film is based on David Fisher’s book which recounts the life of British illusionist Jasper Maskelyne who lived during World War II. Maskelyne was said to have assembled a “Magic Gang” and used illusions to defeat Erwin Rommel of Nazi Germany.
In Trevorrow’s film, Maskelyne conspires with an international crew and a female military intelligence officer to defeat the Nazis with their ingenious magic tricks.
More details about the film are yet to be revealed.
Colin Trevorrow just wrapped up the production of Jurassic World: Dominion which is the third film in the Jurassic World trilogy. It is slated for release on June 10, 2022.
Meanwhile, Benedict Cumberbatch will soon be reprising his role as the MCU’s Sorcerer Supreme in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. It is set to be released on March 25, 2022.
