Slasher horror icon Mike Myers is back in this new photo released by Total Film for the upcoming film, Halloween Kills.
The movie franchise known for a masked murderer’s killing spree during Halloween, is set to return after its reboot film Halloween was released in 2018. And according to director David Gordon Green, this one is all about the creation of fear.
“It’s one thing to be afraid of the Bogey Man,” Green told Total Film, GamesRadar reports. “To have someone who might be in the closet, under the bed, creeping around your house… But we wanted to explore next was confusion, misinformation, and paranoia. What happens when fear goes viral? You can’t just stick your head under the covers anymore.”
The Halloween movie franchise now has 11 films, with two more movies coming from director Green. Halloween Kills will hit theaters on October 15 this year, to be followed by Halloween Ends on October 14, 2022. This final film will conclude Green’s trilogy from the franchise which focused on the battle between Mike Myers and Laurie Strode, played by Jamie Lee Curtis.
