Being a fan girl is not something new to us. At some point in our lives, we’ve found ourselves fangirling over an actor or a band member. But would you want to get to know your idol? Charlie Dizon who plays Jane in Fan Girl thinks otherwise.
Directed by Antoinette Jadaone, Fan Girl tells the horrifying truth about meeting your idol. Meet Jane, an obsessed fangirl who sneaks into Paulo Avelino’s car and eventually spending time with him. She learns exactly why they say to never meet your heroes.
In this interview, we get to know the lead of the film, Charlie Dizon. She shares with us the audition process that she went through, working with Paulo Avelino, and an interesting encounter where she fangirls over Richard Gomez.

The movie premiered at the 33rd Tokyo International Film Festival and is the only Filipino film in the lineup. It is an official entry to the 2020 Metro Manila Film Festival.
It is a collaboration between Black Sheep, Globe Studios, Project 8, Epicmedia, and Crossword Productions. It will run at the 2020 TIFF from October 31 to November 9.
