LA Times film critic Justin Chang also shared his delight on the film:
KNIVES OUT: Come for the grand cast and the all-you-can-eat-the-rich buffet; stay for a classical whodunit worthy of John Dickson Carr in its hilarity and sheer ingenuity of construction. Goodness, what a delight. #TIFF2019

Here are more reviews from the lucky crowd who had already seen Knives Out:
Just took a DNA test, #KnivesOut is 100% that bitch. Can't remember the last time I saw a mystery that was fun, tightly written, and amazingly constructed. Rian Johnson just crossed mystery and comedy off his list of accomplishments for he made a new timeless classic. #TIFF19

#KnivesOut is absolutely brilliant! Rian Johnson takes the murder mystery genre and flips it on its head. Truly one of the funnest, most entertaining films I’ve seen all year. Hilarious, fun and the cast are all absolute gold especially Craig! This is everything I wanted #TIFF19 pic.twitter.com/Nd0CVzMOjt

#KnivesOut is a master class in murder mystery. A beautifully crafted, laugh out loud guessing game

With the KNIVES OUT premiere underway, think I’m finally cleared to gush that it’s the best damn film I’ve seen all year. (Throw in last year, too.) Not just the crackerjack mystery I’d hoped for, but also deeply cathartic in ways I’d never have anticipated. Final shot is pure

Knives Out revolves around a famous novelist's sudden death that was first presumed as suicide. A renowned detective (Daniel Craig) enters the scene and proclaims that the man could've been murdered, and the members of the dead man's dysfunctional family are the prime suspects. In this film, director Rian Johnson (Star Wars: The Last Jedi) revives the whodunit genre and it sure is effective to the audiences who have already seen the film.
Besides Craig and Evans, the movie's all-star ensemble also includes Katherine Langford (13 Reasons Why), Lakeith Sanfield (Get Out), Jamie Lee Curtis (Halloween), Toni Collette (Hereditary), Michael Shannon (Man of Steel), Ana de Armas (Yesterday), Jaeden Lieberher (IT Chapter Two) and more.
Knives Out is set to be released here in the Philippines on November 27. For more information, check out the film's website, as well as its social media pages on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
