After the success of Bohemian Rhapsody in the box office, music fans have something new to look forward to as Rocketman is set to center on yet another music legend, Elton John!
Three months before the film opens in cinemas, we are treated with a new featurette where the creators discuss how they brought Elton's life to the big screen. It also gives fans a glimpse of scenes to look forward to, as well as of Taron Egerton recording his version of Elton John's "Blue Jean Baby" and "Tiny Dancer" for the film (yes, he's actually going to be singing in it!).
Rocketman tells the life of Elton John, how he started out in his career as a prodigy at the Royal Academy of Music to his partnership with Bernie Taupin. The biopic will also be covering his struggles with depression, substance abuse, and his acceptance of his sexual orientation.
The film is directed by Dexter Fletcher, and stars Taron Egerton, Jamie Bell, Richard Madden, and Bryce Dallas Howard.
Produced by Paramount Pictures, Rocketman opens in cinemas this May 2019.
