The new live-action Aladdin sneak peek from Disney took us by surprise with the reveal of Genie in full blue makeup.

The iconic character from the 1992 animated film was pretty popular for having a well-built body and a blue skin tone. So fans were divided when earlier photos showed that Will Smith, who was playing the role, seemingly didn't stick to the distinction.
But everybody's in for a surprise after Genie officially comes out of Aladdin's lamp in full blue color, which may change the fans' point of view of the film, either in a fantastic way or not.
The sneak peek also features Mena Massoud and Naomi Scott as the main protagonists Aladdin and Princess Jasmine. Perhaps the filmmakers of this live-action adaptation want to deliver us a more accurate Aladdin film than we thought.
Directed by Guy Ritchie, the film will also star Billy Magnussen, Nasim Pedrad, Marwan Kenzari, Navid Negahban and more.
Aladdin is set for release in theaters on May 24, 2019.
