Directed by Rupert Sanders, it is a science fiction crime drama film based on the Japanese manga of the same name by Masamune Shirow. Directed by Kelly Asbury, it is based on The Smurfs comic book series and is a reboot film unrelated to Sony's previous animated films. A mysterious map sets Smurfette and her best friends Brainy, Clumsy and Hefty on an exciting and thrilling race through the Forbidden Forest filled with magical creatures to find a lost village before the evil wizard does.
