Rufo's has been operating since 1984. It opened after Ninoy Aquino's assassination when a group of friends decided to put up a small eatery to augment their income since the country was plunged into political and economic uncertainty. Rufo's has survived the 80's coups, 2 Edsa revolutions, 5 presidents, the 80's Combo/band craze, breakdancing, 90's Grunge,El Nino La Nina the 1997 Asian Economic Crisis, and now the World Financial Crisis.
