For the ice cream addicts, you have probably first been introduced to the delicious signature ice cream flavors of Makati Diamond Residences way before the establishment opened. Years ago a restaurant called Cake Club by Diamond Hotel in BGC brought in so much sweet bliss to its customers because of the unique scoops of ice cream they offered. Fast forward to today, the specialty ice cream now finds a home in Makati, and now offers seven flavors for you to choose from.
Handcrafted and made with the finest ingredients, Baked's specialty ice cream is rich and smooth in texture, and come in very interesting flavors that will make you come back for more. The two best-selling flavors are Baked Cheesecake which balances the saltiness and sweetness of the classic cheesecake; and the Supermoist Chocolate that is a surefire kids' favorite because of its nostalgic chocolatey decadence — transforming a classic chocolate cake into a frozen treat. For the lovers of fruity desserts, a must-try is the Ispahan. It's one of my personal favorites, its bright and refreshing flavors perfect for summer and deliciously combines raspberry puree, lychee, and rose essence.
For the more curious palate, you will be rewarded when you go beyond the top hits of Baked's ice cream flavors because the other variants are both unique and sensational too. Honey is an excellent alternative for those who usually just go for vanilla — the sweetness is pleasant and the ingredients used here is sourced from Abra province. If you are a langka lover, then you will obsess over the Taro & Jackfruit, its distincy fruity sweetness very pronounced in ever spoonful. Another interesting flavor is Mont Blanc for those who want a more subtle sweetness, since it is a mix of roasted chestnut and nama cream (whipped cream). Lastly, there's Genmaicha — the very first ice cream I enjoyed from years back, and it still tastes as delicious as I remember. If you love genmaicha in its original form — a calming Japanese green tea with brown rice — then this dessert will thrill your tastebuds. The nutty flavors of toasted rice is very pronounced, and with the creamy, cool finish of the ice cream, it becomes this very unique and irresistible treat that makes eating ice cream feel just a tad less sinful.
