Cargo Fish offers a build-your-own Fish & Chips which starts at only P170. First, you choose your beer-battered fish or meat — cod, salmon, tilapia, chicken, sausage, dory, or cobbler. Next are the two sides — sweet potato chips, onion rings, proper chips, slaw saad, or cargo chips. And finally, one sauce — seafood barbeque, tartar mushy peas, honey jalapeno, roasted garlic, chip shop curry, or lime chili cilantro.
I sampled their cod fish and chips and was pretty impressed how flaky and soft it is yet light and crunchy on the outside. The sides and sauce also remained beautifully intact despite being in transit. If you plan on dining at the restaurant, there’s an alfresco area where you can enjoy these with a cold bottle of drink.
Apart from the build-your-own fish and chips, they have a light bites section on their menu. It includes solo orders of their sides, chicken skin, sisig, and nachos that are good for sharing.
