A list of places where you can get Puto Bumbong in Metro Manila for the holidays.

We may have been locked up at home for the most part of 2020 but that doesnā€™t mean we wonā€™t be celebrating the most festive season of the year. Ready to eat all the delicious food with the whole family? In this special series, we round up your favorite food staple in your Noche Buena spread.

On this list, we give you a rundown of places where you can get Puto Bumbong in Metro Manila. In case you haven’t noticed, Filipinos love kakanin. And what better way to celebrate the holidays than with some puto bumbong? This purple rice cake is traditionally steamed in bamboo tubes served with shredded coconuts, muscovado, and of course, margarine. Below, we list down places where you can get this holiday must-have.

Sebastian’s Ice Cream

A returning flavor from Sebastian’s Ice Cream’s Christmas collection is Puto Bumbong (P135/scoop; P405/pint). It is kakanin ice cream made with malagkit rice, margarine, and muscovado sugar, served with grated coconut and more muscovado sugar. It is their first kakanin flavor and is back once again for its popularity amongst its customers.
