Spanish Restaurant ‘Txoko’ by Bar Pintxos Group Opens in Makati

Your new favorite callos is waiting.

From the folks that gave us a Spanish culinary experience by way of tapas, pintxos, and craft drinks, comes a new restaurant in Legazpi Village, Makati that features grilled meats and seafood (and more Spanish dishes) perfect for sharing.

Now open: Txoko Asador Restaurante

Txoko is a newly opened Spanish restaurant by the Bar Pintxos group, which also recently opened its first branch in Cebu City. Named after a traditional and exclusive gastronomical society (a sort of secret culinary/cooking club in the Basque Country), Txoko is a new space where people can gather for authentic Spanish food served in generous portions, and enjoy its specialty — asador — meat and seafood cooked on a wood-fired grill.

Txoko is located along Esteban Street in Legazpi Village, Makati

The restaurant-asador is helmed by Spanish chef Alex del Hoyo Gomez, and the menu consists of traditional Spanish dishes given a modern spin and the chef's own family recipes.

Here's a look at the many different dishes you can try at Txoko:

Pan Con Tomate 2.0 (P495)
One-bite bread pillows filled with fresh tomato foam, and wrapped in Iberico ham
Mollejas Al Ajillo (P845)
Grilled sweetbreads with white wine, garlic, and parsley
Canelones de Txangurro (P820)
Caneloni stuffed with crab, with seafood bechamel and ink powder
Arroz de Butifarra y Manitas (P820)
Paella with butifarra sausage, pork trotters, and thyme alioli
Callos (P550)
Ox tripe, pork mask, trotters, chorizo, and 65-degree egg.
This rich and sticky stew is a recipe from the chef's grandmother.
Entrecote Txoko (P3,400)
Grilled Ribeye 500g, grilled bone marrow, green asparagus, marble potatoes
Cuarto de Lechazo, Patatas E Hinojo (P7,500)
Grilled suckling lamb quarter, panadera potato, and fennel (pre-order required)
Smoked Cheesecake (P480)
A balance of sweet, savory, and creamy, this unique cheesecake that uses Idiazábal (sheep's milk cheese) served with a smear of mango puree is a must-try!

Txoko is located at the Ground Floor of Erlag Building,102 Esteban Street, Legazpi Village, Makati. The restaurant is currently open only for dinner, but will soon open for lunch service. Contact 0956-0473224 for reservations.
