The Story
The Humble Chef‘s owner Betrina Lee, grew up with a passion for food. After all, she was always there whenever her grandmother was shopping for ingredients and preparing food that they would serve to the family. As they shared the same passion, cooking has been the quality time for Betrina and her grandma.

When they decided it was about time that they share their specialty dishes for everyone to enjoy, they started The Humble Chef. Here they serve the authentic Chinese and Taiwanese dishes the way that they serve it to their loved ones– homey and heartwarming.
Specialty
According to Betrina, their goal with The Humble Chef is for people to feel happy and nostalgic, bringing back memories of their grandma’s cooking, family gatherings, and the classic cuisine served in Binondo.
They offer a variety of dishes and pastries, but among their bestsellers are Ama’s Cha Misua, Kiampung (Chinese sticky rice), Fresh Lumpia, and Hongma with Cuapao (Chinese braised pork belly). Check out some of the photos below:
