Extra Rice, Please: Andok’s Now Has Spicy Dokito on Their Menu

Plus, meet Andok's first ever ambassador!

For over three decades now, Andok's has been part of every Filipino's dining table. Whether it's for a regular dinner, a house or an office party, chances are: you'd have always seen and tasted their famous Litson Manok, Litson Liempo, or both!

Andok's first opened in Quezon City back in December 1985 by Mr. Sandy Javier who said that they started out with 12 chickens and a complete lack of natural resources such as money and connections. The business then started to grow over the years, opening more branches all over the Philippines, while still staying true to their original Litson Manok recipe. They eventually introduced the Litson Liempo, another original from the franchise, and the Dokito, which is their own take on fried chicken.

Having perfect their classic offerings to the Filipinos, Andok's now introduces the new Spicy Dokito, which follows the successful Dokito launched back in 2004. Unlike the other spicy fried chickens, the store uses real chili in marinating their chickens to make sure that the spiciness and the flavors seep into the meat. The result is something that's hot and crispy on the outside, and juicy on the inside.

When asked how long it took for Andok's to perfect their Spicy Dokito recipe, Maverick Javier, the Executive Vice President, shared that while the original Dokito went through several years to master, it only took them 6 months to a year (and dozens of fried chicken)  to finally achieve the flavor of the Spicy Dokito that they have now introduced to the public.

Andok's Spicy Dokito is priced at P57 for their solo chicken, and P285 for a bucket with five pieces, and is now available in all Andok's branches in the Philippines.

Aside from the newest addition to their menu, Andok's also introduced their first and sili-est ambassador ever, none other than the well-loved actor, singer, actor, and producer, Piolo Pascual

During the media event last weekend, Piolo Pascual shared that he is honored to have been chosen to become Andok's first brand ambassador, especially since he's also a big fan of the brand himself. In fact, he even admitted to being able to finish 6 pieces of Dokito when asked about it! "I feel blessed to be trusted by brands and their customers. Andok's is a brand that offers affordable and delicious products to positively impact the lives of Filipinos one product at a time," he said.

"Piolo is one of the most well-loved actors in the country. He embodies the Andok's brand, which is about bringing joy and having genuine love for one's craft. Having him as our first celebrity ambassador was an easy decision for us as he embodies joy, life, and enthusiasm. He is here to really bring out the sili-ness out of everyone. We are very excited to have him as part of the Andok's family," said Maverick Javier.

The Andok's Spicy Dokito is now available in all branches nationwide. For more information, you can check out their official website
