Let's taco 'bout good grub, as we get into a festive mood. We've got a good selection of restaurants all over Metro Manila that cater to tastebuds hankering for Mexican cuisine — Mexican food, after all, is unfussy comfort food we've grown to enjoy through the years; most have meat and cheese, varying degrees of hot and spice, and that addicting crunch of nachos just make for satisfying bar chow. In celebration of this week's Cinco de Mayo festivities (held every May 5 in Mexico to commemorate their victory over the French–and elsewhere in the world, a delicious reason to eat lots of Mexican grub and drink margaritas), here's a list of 8 restaurants in the metro for your Mexican food cravings.

At this fast casual restaurant, authentic Text-Mex food uses ingredients that are imported from Mexico to give their nachos, tacos, fajitas, burritos, and quesadillas an authentic deliciousness. The grub is affordable too–you can fill yourself up with P200 or less!

Hefty meal options include all sorts of burritos (they have naked burrito without the wrap, frito burrito, breakfast burrito, wet burrito), wraps, chimichangas, flautas, and different kinds of tacos (from crispy to soft, puffy, street, and tostadas). Come for tacos, as its name suggests, as this popular restaurant in Kapitolyo has quite the selection of taco — not your usual fillings, too, as they sell tacos with pork cheek, steak, tempura, salmon, and even mushroom tofu. Same goes with their burritos, rice bowls, and quesadillas, so you can go playful and adventurous with their many different kinds of offerings over at Taco Vengo.
