The buttery golden treats are definitely Christmastime staples as giveaways and yummy gifts, and now with homebakers and bakeries getting extra creative in the kitchen, we enjoy ensaymasda in many different flavors and forms.
Joining in the Ensaymada craze in time for the Christmas season is Andrew Café, the signature food establishment of De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde Taft Campus. The coffee shop is named after the late Brother Andrew Gonzales who was a known gourmand and was also formerly a Secretary of the Department of Education. At Andrew Café, their resident Pastry Chef Timothy Robert Gonzales has created the Ensaymada Collection, featuring five variants.
You can now order the ensaymadas by box in the following flavors: salted egg, quezo de bola, ube, monggo, and dulce de leche. The flavor comes as a delectable filling of the pastry. The ensaymada is being sold at P650 per box and comes in two sizes: 16 mini pieces per box, and 9 classic size pieces per box.
