Pizza is always a good idea, and when it comes to food enjoyed at home, it sure ranks high for satisfying food delivery comfort food. There’s a new kid on the block serving their own take on the popular Detroit-style pizza: American Pie is now open!
American Pie is now offering five different kinds of square-cut pizza: all sporting a slightly burnt cheese crust that is crunchy on the outside, paired with a thick and chewy pizza interior. These rectangular pizzas are chunky and generously topped with ingredients that every slice is pretty hefty on the belly.
All of American Pie’s flavors are inspired by Detroit culture, such as music and sports. For the cheese lovers, there’s Downtown Five-Cheese (P795), featuring roasted garlic, mozzarella, Parmesan, aged cheddar, mild cheddar, mascarpone, and fresh oregano. The meaty counterpart of this is The Jackson 5 (P895), which features five kinds of premium meat along with cheese: a mix of pepperoni, salami, seasoned beef, ham, and prosciutto plus mascarpone, parmesan, mozzarella, aged cheddar, mild cheddar, cherry tomatoes, and basil on tomato passata.
Other flavors include Bad Boys of Detroit (P795), a cheeseburger-inspired pizza with burger chunks, bacon, caramelized onions, and a dressing. Their take on a mushroom truffle pizza is Motown Truffle Shrooms (P795) that is topped with fresh mushrooms, ‘nduja peppers, truffle cream, and cheese. Vegan pizza lovers can also try their plant-based flavor in The Vegan Expedition (P795) that promises to be meaty and cheesy without using meat and cheese! The pie is both dairy and meat-free, featuring vegan cheese, spinach cream, Beyond Beef, and mushrooms.
