Sebastian’s Ice Cream has yet again used its creative juices in churning out ice cream flavors that will bring us back to our warmer childhood days.
For the whole month of September, Sebastian’s Ice Cream’s Head Sorbetero Ian Carandang is giving us comfort with another Filipino treat — Ginataan. Three coconut cream-based ice cream inspired by traditional ginataan recipes that will surely warm your hearts! Ian infuses the gate with special ingredients such as fresh corn, toasted munggo, and fresh ube, and simmer it low and slow to infuse the flavor and color into the cream. They then add more mix-ins for more flavor and texture! It’s really like eating your favorite ginataan in ice cream form!
The first flavor is Ginataang Mais which has the coconut ice cream base simmered with fresh corn, mixed with sweetened corn and malagkit rice. There’s also the Ginataang Munggo which has red munggo beans, mixed with sweetened red munggo and malagkit rice. And if you think halo-halo can’t get any better, try the Ginataang Halo-Halo which has a mixture of ube and langka, loaded with sweetened saba, yellow and orange kamote, gabi, langka, and bilo-bilo chunks! You’ll definitely get the flavor and texture of halo-halo in one spoonful!
The entire collection is 100% Vegan and dairy-free since it didn’t use any milk, cream, and egg yolks. Yet another brilliant creation from Sebastian’s!
