The newest addition to The Yard's ever-growing family of food parks is finally on soft-opening, and it's something that every food, film, and pop culture afficionado must definitely visit!
The Yard StreetFood Cinemafeatures 25 pop-culture themed food stalls, and an open area where diners get to see films (Thanks to iFlix!) while enjoying a good meal with their barkada! Because, really, we're all huge believers here that films and food go hand in hand, yeah?
From burgers to ice creams, milk teas to alcoholic drinks, here are some of the food we tried (and loved!) from this new food park in Timog:
Still on that Stranger Things high? Naughty Nachos will have you missing the Hawkins gang even more. From its neon sign to the murals, everything about this wee stall screams Stranger Things. Even their nachos are named after some of our favorite characters from the show! Their MadMax Beef Overload has everything you ever loved in your nachos, except cheesier and meatier! Aside from this, you could also try The Mouthbreather, and E11EVEN'S TOWER with, you guessed it, 11 toppings.
Stuff It! Burgers
When craving for a good burger, The Yard StreetFood Cinema has Stuff It! Burgers made with 100% pure beef patty. While all 5 of their burger choices are must-tries, make room in your stomach for the Sully Con Carne, made with your choice of bun, sharp cheddar cheese, homemade chili con carne, secret sauce, and mixed vegetables.
Jiro-Jiro Matcha Cafe
Jiro-Jiro has both matcha and non-matcha drinks to quench your thirst after a long and warm day. While their Wintermelon Milk Tea and Matcha Caramel Milk Tea are both bestsellers here, you could also try from the, their Japanese cakes which come in different flavors: Matcha, Cookies and Cream, Cream Cheese, and Chocolate.
Maginhawa's "Baddest Hotdogs" has finally come to Timog Avenue! And although you could still order the hotdawg sandwiches they're famous for, they also have something for those who can't survive without rice in their meals. Their Light-Weight - which has 2 spicy or regular dawgs, java rice, atchara, sunny-side up egg, and a dip of choice - is not really as "light" as they claim it to be because it's already enough to fill you up! Just imagine how heavy their Heavy-Weight is, huh?
Above Sea Level
Your food park experience isn't complete unless you try Above Sea Level's Giant Butterfly Squid! Available in four different sizes: Giant, Super, King, and Groot, these squids are deep fried to perfection and served with cups of rice for a complete meal. They also have Firecracker Shrimp and Bacon Wrapped Shrimp if you want something else that's as good as their squid.
House of Griddle
This Game of Thrones-inspired food stall offers dishes named after the houses and families in the show and inspired by different cuisines. Take for example their House of Stark Special, a Western dish with herbed and spiced pork belly, topped with glazed mushroom and paired with glazed brown sauce. They also have something for those who love Italian, Korean, and Mediterranean food, but if you're one who wants a bit of everything, you could opt for the Purple or Red Wedding which has a little bit of everything.
If barbecue is more your thing, be sure to make your way to Pitmaster Grill first. Their Grilled Chicken gives you the best of both worlds, as they also serve it (and the rest of the menu!) with two sticks of pork barbecue, java rice, and vegetables to pair. Pitmaster Grill also serve Shrimp Fajitas, Grilled Chicken, Grilled Squid, Grilled Pork Belly, Kilawin, and Grilled Longganisa, for a bit of variety!
Tikka refers to an Indian-style cutlet, usually served as an appetizer, and luckily, you wouldn't have to go all the way to India to get some good tikka! Tikka Tikka serves open and burrito-wrapped tikkas, but their main-event would have to be the Tikka Hanging Skewers. Choose from their chicken and steak tikka skewers, decide whether you want it with their flavorful tomato rice or tortilla, and with the sauces they have available!
Lord of the Ribs
Lord of the Ribs - inspired, of course, by the famous franchise Lord of the Rings - makes sure your stomachs get filled up without shelling a lot of cash. For starters, have a bite at their Dynamite Ribs which may look like your regular street-food favorite, only better, with just the right amount of heat.
Staying true to their name, their Double Baby Back Ribs gives you two tender and flavorful servings of their famous ribs, as well as two side dishes you can enjoy with family and friends. What a steal, huh!

One of everyone's favorite comfort food, Mac N' Chicks different flavors of wings are something to try. This deep fried burrito is made of tender beef brisket, salsa, Mexican rice, beans, and their signature cheese sauce. It's also served with three different sauces for when you want it with a bit more of spice and heat. All their chimichangas come in two sizes: 10-inch Tortilla (P219) which is good for 1-2 persons, and Gigante (P450) for 3-4 persons.
A Japanese word which translates to "refill" or "more food please!", Okawari makes sure you'll be saying "okawari!" when it comes to their savory Japanese dishes. Aside from the favorites, Yakitori and Takoyaki, they also serve gyudon, ebi tempura, beef teppan, and gyoza.
Crazy Sushi MNL
Another stall offering Japanese comfort food is Crazy Sushi MNL, famous for their unique take on your Japanese favorites. Their California Maki, for one, is served with crispy potato strips on top. They also serve Sushi Donut which is just like your regular sushi, only instead of everything being wrapped in nori, they serve it donut-style and on top of the nori.
For those who love ramen, Crazy Sushi MNL also offers Spicy Ramen which is both creamy and spicy at the same time!
Inspired by the Godfather film franchise, The GodPasta will "make you an offer you can't refuse" with their wide and unique variety of pastas. Aside from their Bulalo and Sisig Pasta, their Kung Pao Pork Belly Pasta is another must-try. It would remind you of the Charlie Chan pasta, with its sweet, oriental flavors. Pair that with the crispy pork belly, and you're definitely in for a treat!
Giving you a taste of Africa is Waka Waka, serving Africa's famous Peri Peri chicken which you can have with rice or with pasta and bread. They also offer Suya, a popular skewered meat dish, Bobotie, baked spiced ground meat, and Peri Peri fried rice. They also have meals for groups, which already consist of a whole chicken, sides, pasta, and rice!
A word play on the famous song from Lion King (or it could also mean the translation of the Swahili phrase for "no worries"), Hakuna Patata's menu gives you different ways to enjoy potatoes. Their Simba Balls with Rafiki Shots are basically fried mashed potato balls with nacho beef and mozarella cheese, served with black garlic ranch shots in little syringes. The Tornado Potato, on the other hand, are spiral-cut potatoes with black garlic ranch sauce for extra flavor.

Some of their punny-named pizzas include: Egg Sheeran (Salted Egg Pizza), MANYlyn Monroe (Supreme Pizza), PINEAPL.De.Ap (Hawaiian Pizza), and Lily TACOllins (Taco Pizza), which we've tried. If you want to have two flavors in one pizza, you can have them do so by adding only P30!
No matter how much food you've eaten, always remember to make. room. for. dessert! And one of the stalls offering it is Cold Layers Cafe. Popular for their so-called Snow Ice - shaved ice desserts - Summer Fling is a must-try. It's basically their mango snow ice, topped with freshly-sliced mangoes, drizzled with mango puree, and topped with aloe vera jelly.
If you're more of an ice cream than a shaved ice-kind of person, Q'urros' offerings will be perfect for you. Named after a character from The Book of Life, La Muerte has soft serve ice cream drizzled with caramel syrup, pink sugar-coated churros, and a cotton candy cloud enough to give you all the sugar rush you need for the night! Q'urros also serves classic churros and churros nuggets

Tur-Del-Neek serves famous Czech dessert trldelnik or chimney twirls - cinnamon-sprinkled and spiral-shaped doughnuts which serve as cones for their gelato. Drizzled with chocolate syrup, Tur-Del-Neek's Chocolate Chimney Twirl's gelato is also topped with two Kitkat bars, making it a treat for both ice cream and chocolate lovers. If you want something that's simpler and more classic, you could opt to try their Original Chimney Twirl.
A stall inspired by the Avengers and the rest of your favorite Marvel superheroes, Quenchers offers drinks that are both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, depending on what you're feeling on your visit. Captain A is a good refresher for the ones who don't want their drinks alcoholic. It's a mix of yogurt pop ball, strawberry syrup, guyabano juice, and blue curacao.
Their alcoholic drinks is another thing, though, as it's served in a fun and interactive way. Their Ultimate Hulk Smash, for one, requires you to smash the table to make a smaller cup of gummy bears and dry ice fall into your actual drink - all while wearing a pair of Incredible Hulk gloves to get you in the mood, of course. The drink is a mix of vodka, gin, green apple, sweet and sour mix, and gummy bears for extra sweetness. All their cocktails come in two sizes: Here (P150) and Super Hero (P350) which you can share with your barkada.
