If you love TGI Fridays' take on American comfort food, you'll love it even more now. The Bistro Group Corporate Chef Josh Boutwood and TGI Fridays Philippines Executive Chef Greg Natividad with the help of International Culinary Director for TGI Fridays Kevin MIller has come up with new menu items dubbed as "Fresh from the Chef" with being able to play with fresh ingredients and cooking techniques.
From salads and flatbreads to sandwiches and full-flavored wood-smoked plates, there's surely something from their new menu that will change the way you indulge at TGI Fridays.
You will never look at potatoes the same way again after you have a taste of their poutine. The Montreal Poutine (P295) has slow-cooked brisket, brown gravy and pulled cheese on top of your choice of potato chips or fries. If you are like me who loves every bit of crunch, go get the potato chips. I swear I couldn't stop munching on these thin slices of potato crisps! There are also other toppings like the Chili Beef and Bacon and Cheese.
However, if you opt for something healthier, there's also the Oriental Sesame Salad (P295): crisp romaine, red radish, tortilla strips tossed in roasted sesame dressing topped with cashew and fresh sweet mangoes.
For the very first time, TGI Fridays is serving flatbreads! Meat lovers would love the Pepperoni Crisp Flatbread (P450) which has pepperoni, mozzarella, shoestring potatoes, drizzled with marinara sauce and topped with fried basil for added flavor with every bite. If you're a big fan of cheese, the 4 Cheese Garlic Flatbread (P450) is perfect! It has four kinds of cheese – mozzarella, monterey jack, colby and cheddar – and finished with fried garlic, drizzled with creamy Caesar dressing and alfalfa.
For snacks, TGI Fridays also has something for you. An instant favorite is the Chicken Banh Mi Sandwich (P350) which has a grilled cilantro-marinated chicken, pickled vegetables and hoisin sauce served on a toasted baguette. I also couldn't stop myself from sinking my teeth into the Smokehouse Brisket (P395)! It has tender pieces of smoked brisket topped with melted cheddar cheese and crispy frizzled onions sandwiched between a warm brioche bun with a side of their chips.
Combining two comfort food favorites in one is the Chipotle Chicken Cutlet (P595): marinated cutlet, wood-smoked and topped with mixed cheese and finished with more cheese sauce. It is served with a generous portion of 3-cheese penne, a side of pico de gallo with more queso sauce. Other filling choices from their wood-smoke entrees is the Miso-glazed Tuna (P545) finished with red miso glaze and furikake served with chimichurri pilaf and another crowd favorite, the Balsamic Glazed Chops (P695) basted in a balsamic glaze and marinated with Montreal seasoning served with Andouille (pork sausage) pilaf and shredded corn.
