When it comes to food, you can't go wrong with a good, hot-off-the-grill steak. However, we all know this beefy goodness doesn't really come cheap. The most tender cuts are the rib eye and tenderloin while the other parts are leaner and have a firmer bite. Whether you prefer a sizzling plate of sirloin or a fork-tender rib eye, a perfect steak must have a beautifully seared crust and still remain juicy.
Are you a steak fan on a budget? Here's a list of restaurants you could visit to fulfill your carnivore cravings:
This Western-themed restaurant is the only steak place in the Banawe area offering a full-service semi-fine dining experience and serves succulent steak from the USDA Certified Meats to the finest cut of the HIDA Wagyu flown from Japan. At Sear Steak Scullery, they prepare steaks from a wide range of selection like the Classic T-Bone (P1185/350g; P1399/450g) which is their best-seller, packed with flavor and seared perfectly to lock in the juices. Other affordable steaks include a U.S. Striploin, Spicy Butcher Steak and a Breakfast Strip Steak. All steak meals come with bread, soup of the day, french beans and corn, mashed potato or rice and ice cream.
A family restaurant which houses your delicious everyday comfort food, they are also home to flavorful beef and meat dishes. Seasoned with only salt and pepper, their Porterhouse (P395/250g; P650/450g) is grilled to your liking showcasing the meat's natural flavor, enough to please even hardcore steak eaters. It is served with made from scratch creamy mashed potato and a simple salad drizzled with vinaigrette.

What started as a quaint little spot in Pasig which specializes in artisan ice cream, has expanded into a full-grown restaurant serving comfort food eats in BGC, Makati and Quezon City. Their best-seller which you'll see all over Instagram is the Signature Steak (P340/healthy; P495/feast), a simple USDA flat iron steak that's just the right cut for when you're craving a juicy steak; it is served with two sides and sauce (our favorite's the Bootstrap Steak Sauce and the classic Cream Mushroom Sauce). There's also the Steak Frites (P315) if you want something a little healthier; it's a good serving of USDA steak, salad and fries.
Grilled on an open fire to get a smoky taste and the perfect charred outer layer, their steaks come in various premium cuts you can choose from. The smallest steak available at Texas Roadhouse is the 6oz Sirloin (P595) which is perfect for when you're craving for some good ol' steak. It is cooked to order so it's oozing with juice and is tender when you cut through it. Choose among a number of made-from-scratch-sides – seasoned rice, mashed potato, sweet potato, steak fries and more.

Whether you're craving for sushi, pizza, burgers or steaks, Torch has everything under one roof. While some restaurants choose to serve only one type of cuisine, Torch combines different international dishes to satisfy every hungry customer, a restaurant perfect for those who just can't decide on where to eat. Seeking steaks? Their Tomahawk Steak of Torch (P1,195.95/solo) is a juicy USDA Angus Ribeye steak in a secret dry rub mixture that's a combination of different spices from various countries, perfectly roasted and served with twice-baked potato oozing with melted cheese and some roasted corn on the cob.

Known for offering affordable certified organic steaks and burgers, The Farm Organics started with food outlets selling their organic grass-fed beef in 2011 in supermarkets. Now, they have actual restaurants in Alabang and BGC serving their famous Ribeye which comes in two kinds – local/all natural (P630/regular; P740/large) and certified organic (P770/regular; P890/large), perfect for hungry carnivores looking for a healthier take on their favorite meaty eats.
You just can't go wrong with this restaurant if you're craving for some good carving. Whether you want to spend on a 28-day dry aged steak (P1950 to P3990) or if you're on a budget but want a good cut of steak, dining at Mamou is like entering your tita's home for dinner. Order Wawa's Prime Rib (P1,150/250g), slowly roasted to perfection and a generous cut at that, plus, you get to pick two sides to go with it: white/red steak rice, corn pudding, creamed spinach or baked mashed potatoes.

A restaurant which houses two crowd favorites – chicken and steak – has been in the business for four years now and its first ever outlet is still at its original location. Their menu is pretty straightforward with a variety of Western and Asian dishes all under one roof. Their US Angus Ribeye (P2750/650g; P1460/330g) definitely good for more than two people and comes with two cups of steak rice and a cup of buttered corn. Nothing goes to waste at this restaurant! You'll notice toasted fat trimmings are served on top of the slab so there's crunch in every tender bite of the steak.

Offering assorted modern sushi and specialty pizzas, and comfort food across different cuisines, Rice & Dough is the perfect spot for dates as it is located at the picturesque Venice Grand Canal Mall. Their Grilled Salt & Pepper Meltique Ribeye Steak with beans & carrots (P879.95) is not your ordinary slab of meat since it's the world's finest larded meat, so expect it to be extra tender. They also have stone-cooked U.S. Angus Beef Tenderloin wrapped with bacon (P579.95). Plus points since all their mains are served with either Italian Parsley Rice or Risotto, great if you order a bunch of mains and share it.

From its black and white patterns, wooden furnishings down to their mix and match colorful plates, everything at Crisp on 28th is definitely well thought of. Everything at the restaurant, especially the elegantly plated dishes are picture perfect. Every visit is something to look forward to as they always whip up something new on top of their regular menu every week for their customers to try.
An upgrade to your usual salpicao, Providore's Steel Plate Cooked Garlic Butter "Salpicao" Steak (P395) is served on a, well, steel plate and is almost melt-in-your-mouth tender laced with a coating of salpicao sauce we're all familiar of. A serving is good on its own or get a side order of rice for sharing to perfectly bring everything together.
