Here’s How You Can Celebrate Chinese New Year with Ayala Malls

Everyone is invited to celebrate auspicious beginnings at Ayala Malls!

Enjoy a new way of celebrating Chinese New Year! Ayala Malls brings the rich culture of China closer to everyone through food fairs, bazaars, installations, performances, freebies, and webinars.

2021 is the year of the Metal Ox. Known for its resilience, the Ox symbolizes the very sentiment of Ayala Malls: to help build stronger relationships among family, friends, and loved ones by continuing to provide memorable experiences amidst the new normal. With many activities in store from February 8 to 14, everyone is invited to celebrate auspicious beginnings at Ayala Malls.

Discover Chinatown Village

In partnership with ChinoyTV and Fil-Chi Ho Tsia Ho Dim, Ayala Malls presents Chinatown Village, the go-to destination this Chinese New Year. One of its main attractions is Chinatown Strip, a food fair, shopping bazaar, and activity area featuring delicious delicacies, lucky charms, and workshops.

The Wok of Fortune Food Fair features beloved Chinese restaurants like Davids Tea House, Shi Lin, Asian Mart at Circuit; Tai Koo HK Roast, Luk Yuen, Gong Cha, Dimsum Bar, El Presidente of Binondo, Fat Fook Taiwanese Kitchen at Glorietta; and Hap Chan, Asina Mart, New Age Mart, 999 Pharmacy at Manila Bay. The fair will also provide spaces for start-up brands and homegrown exhibitors in Vertis North, TriNoma, Solenad, Capitol Central, The 30th, Greenbelt, and Centrio. This booth-to-booth set up will allow mall-goers to taste every dish in just one convenient location.

Chinatown Strip also allows mall-goers to watch the traditional Lion and Dragon Dance, buy charms, marvel at zodiac signs and horoscopes, make wishes, take dates to the Lunar Love Festival in TriNoma, and more. The full list of activities per mall is viewable here. To ensure safety, all activities will require social distancing and other basic protocols.

In partnership with Globe myBusiness and CHiNOY TV, Ayala Malls is hosting the Modern Tao Ke Fair in Circuit, Manila Bay, Greenbelt, and Cloverleaf. The event aims to support SMEs and promote entrepreneurship within the Chinese Filipino Community. Furthermore, Globe is sponsoring Gcash AngPao as a special prize for mall-goers who will complete the Chinatown Passport. The passport lists activities to visit or try in exchange for a stamp. Once the stamps are complete,  participants can redeem the Gcash AngPao.

Of course, a celebration is never complete without a nice photo-op. Chinatown Strip is decorated with OXpicious Installations including Chinese zodiac signs, money trees, and more.  Customers joining the festivities may also get FREE Eng Bee Tin Hopia when they complete a challenge or visit Chinatown Village during auspicious hours.
