Sing Philippines Youth Choir Serenaded LRT Line 2 Commuters with a Musical Flash Mob

The activity is part of the ongoing Music Camp organized by the Cultural Center of the Philippines Cultural Exchange Department and the Philippine Madrigal Singers.

THE Sing Philippines Youth Choir (SPYC), composed of 100 gifted singers from 33 provinces and local communities from all over the country, serenaded the commuters of LRT Line 2 with a special musical flash mob recently.  The activity is part of the ongoing Music Camp organized by the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) Cultural Exchange Department and the Philippine Madrigal Singers (MADZ).

Launched in June 2014, the SPYC Music Camp is a week-long professional chorale cliniquing under MADZ choirmaster Mark Anthony Carpio. The Sing Philippines movement brings to life National Artist and MADZ founder Andrea O. Veneracion’s vision of a nation singing in harmony and united in songs.

The SPYC flash mob in LRT Line 2 is an offering of the CCP to encourage the public to participate in art making and appreciation, and promote artistic excellence.
