In 2018, the slasher film icon Michael Myers returned to the big screen in director David Gordon Greenās revival of Halloween. This year, the unrelenting masked murderer will be back in the film’s sequel, Halloween Kills.
As the film’s trailer reveals, that Halloween night when Myers supposedly burned in Laurie Strode’s home didn’t really end with the death of the killer. Instead, Myers survived and is once again in pursuit of the Strode family. Check out the trailer below:
Halloween Kills picks up from where the 2018 film left off. Laurie Strode, her daughter Karen, and granddaughter Allyson, headed to the hospital after their face-off with Myers. But once Laurie learned that Myers survived, she gets back on her feet, ready to face him once more. But this time around, Laurie will find new allies.
“As Laurie fights her pain and prepares to defend herself against him, she inspires all of Haddonfield to rise up against their unstoppable monster,” the synopsis teased. “The Strode women join a group of other survivors of Michaelās first rampage who decide to take matters into their own hands, forming a vigilante mob that sets out to hunt Michael down, once and for all.”
David Gordon Green returns as director with cast members Jamie Lee Curtis, Judy Greer, and Andi Matichak reprising their roles. The film is set for release on October 15.
