The idea was simple: everybody who wanted to join in had to press play at a certain time for Avengers: Endgame, whether they have a digital/blu-ray copy or access to streaming such as Disney+, and the writing duo behind the film, Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, take over the ComicBook.com Twitter account to fill everyone in on the film's secrets, behind-the-scenes, and even answer fan questions. They first had a watch party for Infinity War and it brought so many fans over to Twitter to join in, so the Endgame #QuarantineWatchParty brought in even more people to partake on the awesomeness of the Marvel film.
What made these watch parties extra special is that the Russo Brothers themselves joined in on the live tweet sessions, sharing awesome video clips, photos, and stories on filming the 2018 superhero film, resulting in every MCU fan geeking over fresh Marvel content and reliving all these iconic movie moments.
If you missed out on the watch party fun, don't worry — we've rounded up some of our favorite tweets from the Russos and the writers to keep you entertained at home!
Today’s the day for the #Endgame watch party… All you have to do is press play on the movie wherever you are exactly at 4pmPT/7pmET. Remember to use #AvengersAssemble to follow along with us. We’ll be LIVE tweeting here and going LIVE on our IG for the first hour. Who’s in? pic.twitter.com/78CxBJNeYc

We had whole drafts with Wanda on a road trip with Rocket, but after the Vision plot in Infinity War, nothing we came up with was anything but wheel spinning for her character. -CM #AvengersAssemble #QuarantineWatchParty https://t.co/JpMLTuHmWe

No. The goal for Endgame was always to highlight the original Avengers as we said goodbye. Newer characters generally took smaller roles as a result. #QuarantineWatchParty #AvengersAssemble -SM https://t.co/A4Kl6HnQgI

More of sequence than a scene, but the bit where they work out where to go when they travel through time. Trying to make the mechanics of time travel make sense, yet retain enough character to keep things entertaining. -CM #AvengersAssemble #QuarantineWatchParty https://t.co/JAn4H15568

The entire crew was OBSESSED with a local Georgian beer called Tropicalia. From an amazing brewery called @creaturebeer. We had to sneak it into the movie… you’ll find it’s Thor’s drink of choice at the compound. #AvengersAssemble
