The secret service is back! But this time, the Kingsman franchise is bringing its audience to World War I in the prequel film titled The King’s Man.
Watch the teaser trailer here:
In the trailer, we see the first World War raging. The Duke of Oxford (Ralph Fiennes) tells his protégé (Harris Dickinson), that the young man doesn’t have to fight in the field, because the “real power is not found running off to war,” but instead “lies in understanding who it is you're truly fighting, and how they can be defeated,” as the Duke put it. In the end, we finally connect the film to the franchise when the two drops by the Kingsman tailoring shop.
Starting off with the 2015 film adaptation of a comic book, Kingsman: The Secret Service, followed by Kingsman: The Golden Circle, the franchise is expected to get its third installment sometime next year but before that comes this prequel film that is expected to detail the origins of the Kingsman organization.
Along with the teaser trailer is the film's poster release:
The King's Man is directed by Matthew Vaugn, and stars Ralph Fiennes, Harris Dickinson, Gemma Arterton, Rhys Ifans, Matthew Goode, Tom Hollander, Daniel Brühl, Djimon Hounsou, and Charles Dance.
The film comes to theaters on February 14, 2020.
