A film based on several of Shakespeare's Henriad plays, The King is set to launch on Netflix this fall, and it's going to be featuring a star-studded cast, led by Oscar-nominated actor Timothée Chalamet!

The film centers on the wayward prince Hal, the reluctant heir to the throne who has turned his back on his royal life and has started to live among the commoners. He is then forced to live the life he had tried so hard to escape when his father dies, and he must then learn to go through the chaos, the politics, and the war that his father had left behind, as well as the attachments he had made in his past life, especially with his friend and mentor John Falstaff.
The KIng is directed by David Michôd and co-written by Michôd and Joel Edgerton. It stars Timothée Chalamet, Sean Harris, Ben Mendelsohn, Robert Pattinson, and Lily-Rose Depp. The film will be making its debut at the Venice Film Festival in September.
