Netflix celebrates with the filmmaker as he turns 74 today, January 20 in the US, releasing this 17-minute film that Lynch wrote, directed, and starred in. Titled What Did Jack Do?, the film first premiered at the Fondation Cartier pour l’Art Contemporain—a modern art museum in Paris— back in 2017. Now, the short film with an uncanny premise is up for streaming on the streaming service.

The short flick has the feel of Lynch's Eraserhead, with grainy black-and-white visuals and other noir-ish elements. As for the synopsis, Netflix tells it with only one line: "In a locked down train station, a homicide detective conducts an interview with a tormented monkey."

You can watch the film now on Netflix.
