On a Budget? Travel to 10 Countries in One Day at Open Kitchen Food Park, Quezon City

Open Kitchen is a new food park with 41 stalls, 500 seating capacity and 100 parking slots!

Just when you thought food parks have reached its end, there comes another one offering a totally different experience for foodies.

Open Kitchen claims to be the biggest food park in the metro. The newest food and lifestyle park in Quezon City goes a step above the rest of the food park equipped with 3 levels, 41 food stalls, 500 seating capacity and 100 parking slots!

Make sure you come hungry and watch each stall whip up your meal in their open kitchen. With its 41 food choices, a visit becomes an instant trip around the world. Bite into a legit Turkish shawarma or sip on some refreshing drinks at this tropical-themed food park that's trying to redefine gastronomy. No need to pack your bags and leave the metro! Here are a few of our favorites for that ultimate vacation experience in the city:

India

Meat Combo Platter

It's quite difficult to find a good roti in the Manila but Senyor Roti has the good kind where the crust is flaky yet still remains chewy. The Meat Combo Platter (P320) is for sharing but I could definitely see myself eating one serving of it. Roti Canai is drizzled with a sweet milk syrup and served with two sauces you can dip it to – butter chicken and lemongrass pork curry.

Japan

Beef Gyudon

No one really gets tired of Japanese food and at Haku which specializes in it, they make sure each of their dishes are made with the freshest ingredients. Spicy Tuna and Spicy Salmon are available from P200 and there are also popuar sushi rolls from P180. If you want something more filling, choose from two of their rice bowls: Chicken Teriyaki (P180) and Beef Gyudon (P210).

USA

Specializing in American barbecue, Carnivore Cookery sets itself apart from the others with its 12-hour slow smoking process making its beef brisket and pork belly extraordinarily juicy and tender. They also offer smoked ribs, chicken lolli pops and sides (blooming onion, mashed potato, stuffed fried chili, fried mac and cheese, etc.) which goes really well with their meats.

Turkey

Doner Kebab Beef Wrap

Baklava

Owned and operated by Mehmet Serce who is a Turkish native, he brings the authentic Turkish cuisine experience at Kebab King. The doner kebab which is available in three kinds of meat – beef, lamb and chicken – is a specialty in Turkish cuisine so it's the highlight in this stall. For sweets, they also offer Baklava (P150/3pcs).

Korea

Pork

Claiming to be the first ever charcoal grill stall to hit a food park, The Meat Pub gives its diners the an experience to grill their own meat and vegetables using a stove fueled by charcoal. Unleash your inner Kim Bok-joo and grill thinly sliced meat (P270/beef sausage; P280/chicken; P380/beef) which you can dip in their complimentary condiments: sweet, spicy, salt-based, garlic paste and chili oil. There's also K-Pops serving authentic Korean street food to satisfy your Korean food cravings.

Philippines

Assorted Street Food Skewers

For Filipinos, grilled anything is everything! You can find all your street food favorites – liempo, isaw, chicharon bulaklak, pork barbecue and so much more – doused and basted with their signature sauces at this stall. Biggy's aims to offer a unique experience and reintroduce to this generation's foodies something Filipinos truly love.

China

Sick of the classic dumplings? From the peppercorns of China and curry of Thailand to the lemongrass of Indonesia and bonito from Japan, Momo Dumpling Bar makes use of familiar ingredients and use them in unexpected ways that's sure to wake your palate.

Mexico

Nachos

Cartel's is a fusion of American and Mexican cuisine making it slightly healthier than the more popular Tex-Mex fusion. At Cartel's, they put emphasis on avocados and vegetables. You can create your own Burrito (P225), Tacos (P90), Quesadilla (P130), and Nachos (195). Start from the meats (chipotle chicken, steak, carnitas or ground beef) and fill it with cilantro-lime rice, veggies, salsa, beans, cheese, sour cream, corn and guacamole. Yes, we'd love more guac on everything!

Switzerland

Mr. Raclette is bringing the Swiss experience in Open Kitchen Food Park. Indulge in their Traditional Raclette, a platter of marbled potatoes, salami, and baguette, garnished with arugula and cornichons topped with gooey, melted cheese scraped right off the wheel.

Italy

Pepperoni Pizza

If you want your pizza thick and crisp, Pie R2 is your new favorite pizza place. At this stall, they offer pizza and pasta with the combination of different top quality ingredients with exciting mix of spices. Every dish is affordable starting at only P200.
