Five-time Emmy nominee Giancarlo Esposito of Breaking Bad and The Mandalorian fame is set to headline Netflix’s upcoming interactive heist series, Jigsaw.
According to Deadline, the new series is loosely based on a real-life event where $70 billion in bonds went missing in downtown Manhattan during Hurricane Sandy. Spanning for over two decades, the new show will center on the largest heist ever, and the vengeance, scheming, and deceptions that made it possible. The series reportedly consists of eight parts, telling the story 24 years before the heist and a year after.

Jigsaw is also set to be Netflix’s next interactive title, allowing the viewers to make choices within the show that will impact the story, similar to what the streaming service had done with Black Mirror: Bandersnatch and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt: Kimmy vs. The Reverend.
Eric Garcia is the creator and showrunner for the new series, and he will executive produce alongside Ridley Scott. Also part of the cast are Paz Vega, Rufus Sewell, Tati Gabrielle, Peter Mark Kendall, Rosaline Elbay, Jai Courtney, Jordan Mendoza and Niousha Noor.
More details about the series including the release date are yet to be revealed.
