Today, LINE Corporation announced the release of Line Lite which is a light version of its mother app that utilizes less storage space and data.
The new app is less than 1MB in size but has the same core features of the original app like texting, stickers and image sharing. However, according to the website, "it doesn't include support for audio and video calls and has dropped the Timeline feature as well."
Line Lite will primarily be released to 11 countries including India, Mexico, Saudi Arabia. They say it will be available to other regions as well depending on its demand in countries.
